So there is a problem with a few specific Civil 3D Files.The File keeps crashing several times a day or an hour, depending on how good or bad a day it is.The Land Surveyors External References Files keep moving,I clean the file, and Detach and Reattach the XREF, and it moves back into place.The Land Surveyors External References Files movement was noticed by my boss when he opened the file on his computer.I cleaned, Detached, and reattached the File on my computer, and than it was in the right place.The Files are heavy, they have about 40 different Xrefs on them, and I checked with my Boss, all are needed so we can work, it is a Utilities Coordination File, so we need all the Utilities, and planning to make sure nothing is crashing into anything else.I have cleaned the Files using the Following Methods.REGAPP-To get rid of unneded ApplicationsScale Cleaner-To get rid of excessive Scales.Save the File with the New Name as the Original.The problems didnt stop, still crashes, still moves slowly, Land Surveyors file keeps moving.My Boss says he hasnt seen similar behaviour in other files.I decide to rebuild the file as it is mostly Xternal References.I build a new File using the Imperial Template,Import all the Layouts from the original-They look alright, although the colors are different, probably because its a new file, and their colors havent been set to the original.I Export the Layer State of the Colors of the Lines from the Original File so the new file will have the same colors defined for the layers, I do this from the Layer States Manager.Import the Layer State of the Default Colors for the Original File into the Layer State Manager successfully into the New File.Click on the Restore Button in the Layer States Manager to restore the colors to what they were in the Original File,I will attach screenshots showing the original and new and a Screenshot of my Computer Specifications.I talked to my Boss, and I dont have Authorization to upload the files here, so i cant, im sorry.I am using Civil3d 2020 Version 6.1 Update.They have reinstalled CivilCad Twice, Formatted my Computer once.I contacted TeamCad Tech Support also seeming out of ideas.As they say in Star Wars, Help me Obi-Wan youre my only Hope.Love to hear any ideas you have, take a shot in the dark, maybe itll lead somwhere.At Curent my 2 leads are its either a problem with the files or my computer.Here are the Screenshots from the Old File, the new one that went blank, and my system specifications with personally identifiable information removed.
